The Renan Banjo workshop has gone through several iterations and 2 major overhauls since I began the banjo building journey in April 2015. The space is a 2-car detached garage, it's a good space but the hardest balance in a smaller shop is maintaining good workflow without it feeling cramped.
Originally I designed the space to be visually de-cluttered (minimal) but found over time I was always searching for a certain tool/jig in drawers. Sometimes it's better to have the tools you need at arm length. Adding more natural light greatly improved my mental well-being as well as upgrading to LED fixtures from fluorescents.
It's the little things that add up.
my push: curate an inspired space.
